2017-18 CYO Winter Activities Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for St. Basil CYO winter activities.  These include Basketball and Odyssey of the Mind.  All St. Basil Parish members must register with St. Basil CYO, regardless of what school your child attends.  CYO members must be a member of St. Basil parish or another Archdiocese parish.
Basketball includes boys and girls from the 4th grade through 12th grade.  Teams will be 4th grade, JV (Grade 5-6), Varsity (Grades 7-8) and High School.  High School is available to students who are NOT PLAYING for their respective HS Teams.  Please continue to check this website for JV and V tryout dates and times.
Odyssey of the Mind teaches students to learn creative problem-solving methods while having fun in the process.  By tapping into creativity, and through encouraging imaginative paths to problem-solving, students learn skills that will provide them with the ability to solve problems -- great and small -- for a lifetime.
OOTM is available for students in grades K-12. Division Primary (K-2), Division I (3-5), Division II (6-8), Division III (9-12)
OOTM is a very rewarding experience but requires a firm commitment to your team members.   Depending on each team’s success, there are 3 competition dates that are mandatory for age Divisions I, II and III.    You MUST commit to ALL dates below.  A parents meeting will be held to review all details.  (Division Primary will only compete at Millersville.)
  • Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Millersville University (Regional)
  • Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Pocono Mountain East - Swiftwater, PA (States)
  • Wednesday through Sunday, May 23 - 27, 2018 at Iowa State University (Worlds)
