The Pastor's Corner

This has been an amazing summer, hot and dry and recently stormy and wet. Soon we'll be watching the children go back to school and the leaves turn color. What we'll also be doing is preparing for our second Fall Festival! Last year, everyone had a great time, from volunteers to attendees, and we are looking for everyone to get involved. As you know, preparations have already started. Thanks to all who have or will sign up to help with the Festival. Several committees are up and running, some will be waiting until closer to the date to get underway.

What I'm really excited about are the changes we are making for this year's Fall Festival. First of all, we will have 14 RIDES, a mix of kiddie rides, rides for parents and children together and adult rides. We will have entertainment nightly, food offerings are being expanded and there will be a covered area for dining, and the layout of our Casino Night and Beer Garden are being improved. Kiddie games will be up and running with a few surprises. And, there will be a Dunk Tank...although we are not yet sure who will be getting wet!

At this point, we are looking for sponsors for the Festival. Our publicity committee is hard at work: watch your mailboxes for the coupon mailer, St. Basil's Fall Festival will have an ad with a coupon in the early September mailing.
