- Millersville University State Competition: Thursday, May 7 & Friday, May 8
History Day Due Dates:
- 7th grade: board, process papers and bibliographies are due Friday January 29
- 8th grade: board, process papers and bibliographies are due Monday Feb. 2, but may be handed in on Friday if you'd like Mr. Shirker to look over them.
Note: Be sure to visit the NHD website (www.historyday.org), click on contest, then rules, then go to the type of presentation you are using, ie. exhibit board or documentary (PowerPoints are considered documentaries) to check the specific rules for your project. Also, if you are using quotes from a secondary source, the quotes are not a primay source, nor are the pictures because they may have been altered. The rules state that quotes and pictures from secondary sources are considered unreliable. Also, be sure to check out the bibliography section on the website as it explains how to use the annotations.
